Bangladesh needs to believe that they are still good enough to be in the semi finals, and the first step to that is they need to win against Afghanistan tomorrow. Afghanistan are the only team, not to have a point in their bag till now, and after their inspired performance against India at the same ground yesterday, they would be fancying to put it across Bangladesh tomorrow.
Bangladesh need not worry about their position in the points table, as they need some other results to go in their favour, but what is under their own control, is to play fearlessly in the next 3 games and try to win them all. As if they dont win, even one of the three, they do not make the semi finals anyways.
The next World Cup is 04 years away, their core team of Mashrafe, Shakib, Tamim, Mushfiqur and Mahmadullah, may not be playing till the next World Cup, as all are on the wrong side of 30s, and its a tough game once any player gets older, specially the fitness and the fielding drills. Hence its very important for the core group to feel that its now or never for them, and they need to percolate the same feeling to their teammates also.
The match will be played on a dry pitch which will suit the bowling of both Bangladesh and Afghanistan, the match will primarily be decided on which team handles the spin bowling better, and Bangladesh definitely have the batting power to beat Afghanistan tomorrow.
